Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering is the rent you pay for the space you occupy here on earth ~unknown

We sure appreciate our Volunteers! And in an effort to demonstrate just how much we appreciate all that they do for us, the Volunteer Department and the Area Volunteer Co-ordinators are hosting an Appreciation Car Wash and BBQ on Thursday, June 13 from noon to 2 p.m in the rear parking lot at the Bell Farm Road Office in Barrie. Volunteers are invited to bring their cars in for a complimentary car wash and staff and foster parents can have theirs washed too, for a donation. The lunch being served includes hot dogs or hamburgers, salad, drink and dessert. What a deal! What a way to say THANK YOU to those who give so much of themselves for the children and youth of our community.
Who are Volunteers?
Simcoe County Children's Aid Society volunteers are people who are looking for opportunities to share and to learn. They love children, are willing to give their time and have a desire to share the responsibility for others in their community.

What do Volunteers Do?
Volunteer Services provides interested individuals with opportunities to support the work of protecting children and strengthening families in Simcoe County. We provide our volunteers with a wide range of opportunities. For example:driving, child care, clerical support, case aide, and helping at fund-raising and special events.

How Much Time Will I Be Asked to Commit?
Some of our volunteers donate a few hours of their time each week or month, while others work on volunteer assignments almost full-time.

However, there are shorter term opportunities available, such as activity groups or special events where help is needed occasionally. Depending upon the volunteer role, time commitments can vary.

How Do I Become a Volunteer?
