In order to meet the needs of the families of Simcoe County, one of the largest counties in the province, we deliver services from a Head Office in Barrie and from five branch offices located in Midland, Collingwood, Alliston, Bradford and Orillia.

All Children's Aid Societies in Ontario must provide child protection services 24-hours a day, seven-days a week, 365-days a year. Emergency services are provided at night on weekends and holidays by an After Hours Social Worker.

If you call one of our offices after 5 p.m. and before 8:30 a.m. on weekdays, on weekends or public holidays, you will first speak to our answering services. You will be given the options of calling back when the office opens, leaving a message for a social worker or speaking to an Emergency After-hours Social Worker.

If you are calling to report your suspicions about a child at risk, or a child who has been hurt, our answering service will contact an After Hours Social Worker to telephone you. If you cannot be called back, or do not wish to give out your phone number, the answering service operator will ask you to hold on the line while the After Hours Social Workers is contacted. Calls are handled in order of their seriousness.
