What We Do

As a registered charity, we raise funds to give abused and neglected children the skills and supports they need to
reach their full potential in life.

Programs funded by the Children's Aid Foundation of Simcoe County directly assist more than 3,000 children in
Simcoe County annually - children who have suffered abuse and neglect and who receive service from the Children's
Aid Society. Many of these children have also lived with family violence, substance abuse and poverty.

From a young age many of the children assisted by the more than 17 funded programs and services have experienced a sense of worthlessness.

Legislation protects abused and neglected children and in Ontario the Children's Aid Society enforces these child protection laws by investigating reports of child abuse, and deciding what actions to take in order to protect children and help families.

The role of the Children's Aid Foundation of Simcoe County is different. We help abused and neglected children lead happier and safer lives by raising funds for essential programs and services that are not funded by the government.

The Children's Aid Foundation of Simcoe County is the fundraising arm of the Children's Aid Society. It is our mission to provide opportunities for abused and neglected children that help them reclaim their childhoods and reach their full potential.  With your financial support we can continue to provide programs under the three pillars of Enrichment, Education and Prevention, to those children in Simcoe County who need it the most.
