How much of my donation gets to the children?
More than 81per cent of all funds raised go directly to providing services and programs for abused children. Our administrative costs are 8 per cent and our fund raising costs are 10 per cent.
Doesn't the government pay for these programs?
We know that to ensure healthy development children also need opportunities to excel in school and for recreational activities.
As well as funding protection services, government funding also provides the necessities of life for children
in the care of the Children's Aid Society. The complementary programs and services provided by our Foundation help
to equalize the opportunities available to abused and neglected children that help them to succeed.
How many children are served by these programs?
More than 3,000 children took part in the programs and services funded by the Children's Aid Foundation of Simcoe County last year.
