October is Child Abuse Prevention Month and the Simcoe County Children's Aid Society is a participant in the thought- provoking use your voice campaign. Use your voice because abused children don't have one.
The website www.useyourvoice.ca was created specifically for this campaign.
The campaign was developed in response to the shocking results of a provincial survey that demonstrated not
enough Ontarians understand that they have a legal obligation to report not only known child abuse but suspected
abuse as well.
Use your voice is a campaign which includes a presence in the schools, businesses, and institutions across Simcoe County with posters, and purple wristbands all urging the public to go to www.useyourvoice.ca.
Wristbands will be available at all offices of the Simcoe County Children's Aid and some schools and businesses
for a donation of a loonie.
