Foster Care

Foster children range in age from newborn to 16. Some are average children, others have special needs -- physical, emotional and developmental. Some will be in foster care for just a short time and return home, others become Crown Wards and grow up in foster care.

While they are all different, children are taken into foster care because their parents are unable to care for them. Many have had troubled beginnings and need help to deal with the problems they have experienced.

They need warmth, understanding of themselves and their families. They also need consistency, structure and behaviour management.
