Family Service Worker

The Job                      These are generalist child welfare casework positions with responsibilities including: investigating and assessing matters pertaining to children in need of protection, counselling services to clients, services to children in foster care, recording responsibilities in accordance with the legislation and agency procedures, community outreach and prevention activities.

Qualifications             The successful candidate will have an MSW, BSW or equivalent, excellent communication, counselling, assessment and organizational skills, and a desire to become an integral part of the social service structure of a growing community.  Preference will be given to applicants who have current child welfare experience.

Compensation           The current salary range is $42,521 to $58,978 with a generous benefits package, vacation and leave provisions.
