Children struggling with chaotic family lives often know few words for the feelings they have and have fewer ways of expressing their feelings in an appropriate manner. Knowing how to help them talk about the feelings attached to neglect, abuse, rejection, separation, change of care givers is important if they are to be able to resolve the impact of what they have experienced.
